Discover the exciting world and dragonflies and damselflies and learn about the Master Naturalist program sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension. Join us for our next meeting on?Thursday, March 24 at 7:00 PM?at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 12N462 Tina Trail, Elgin. Sarah Fellerer, program coordinator for the University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist Program, will explain the naturalist program to us and how to become involved. The Naturalist program?s goal is to provide science-based educational opportunities that connect people with nature and help them become engaged environmental stewards.

Cindy Crosby, Certified Guide and Interpretation Program Coordinator at The Morton Arboretum will discuss one of her favorite hobbies with us:? dragonflies and damselflies. Writing about nature in the Midwest is a passion for Cindy and she has a book coming out next year entitled: Introduction to the Tallgrass Prairie. In the warmer months she loves to chase dragonflies and damselflies on beautiful tall grass sites. See her website at?
